New Americans

From border walls to the DREAM Act, policy issues related to immigration have proven to be some of the most divisive of the 21st century so far. More recently, the COVID-19 crisis shone a spotlight on particular challenges related to immigrants’ role in the workforce and immigrant access to social programs and health care. New Americans is a series organized by the Center on Children and Families focusing on the current policy debate around immigration, in particular immigrants in the labor market and access to the safety net.
